Music as art allows us to anchor our experiences in relation to humanity as we realize we are not alone in our pain and pleasure; music as practice allows us to transcend the physical limitations of our pain and pleasure as it assists us in making sense of the abstractions of emotion and soul.

Streaming services have made music more accessible than ever. From Spotify to Soundcloud to YouTube, we are able to stream music in nearly all of its forms: complete albums, self-curated playlists, even live concerts. Music is one of the few forms of artistic expression that is not limited by geography: One can engage with the medium just about anywhere. Music is communal, as evidenced by the countless remixes, homages, and features.
